As of August 2023, I will be an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Cal State Fullerton. I specialize in German philosophy, especially that of Martin Heidegger and Immanuel Kant. My research considers how to interpret texts in the history of philosophy, focusing on Heidegger's method of interpreting Kant. My book, Heidegger's Interpretation of Kant: The Violence and the Charity (Cambridge University Press, 2023), reconstructs and defends that method, tracing it across the major moments of Heidegger's interpretation of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. I was featured in a Purdue Philosophy instagram story for "Faculty Fridays": click here to read the interview. |
